Session #: 506-42
Presenter(s): Mark Blosser, Jim Messner Session Length: 1hr. 15 min. Event: 2006 NADA Annual Convention Date: February 11-14, 2006
The main reason technology fails is that there is no plan! Everything from simple word processing programs to complex Dealer Management Systems (DMS), need to have a technology plan. This plan should include an analysis of why the technology is necessary, what results you expect to achieve, what it will do, and who will use it. Using Dealership Performance Management (DPM) technology as an example, we will demonstrate how to determine if the investment makes sense financially, how to create a plan for a successful implementation, and discuss strategies for ensuring long-term adoption and usage by management.
